About

We compare products that come in one fixed form: electronics, instruments, tools, appliances, toys, furniture. When you search, we ask shopping services who sells that product and show what they tell us. We do not cover food and drink, and we do not cover clothing - sizes, weights and pack counts make those impossible for us to compare honestly, so we say so rather than guess. We do not cover every shop. Every price on the site shows when we last checked it, and prices can be up to a day old.

What we cover, precisely

We do not cover “every shop on the internet”. Nobody does, including the large comparison sites, and claiming otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on the site. We cover the shops a shopping search returns for your product, plus the shops whose product feeds we read directly.

We do not cover food and drink, or clothing. Food is priced by weight, pack and date; clothing comes in sizes and fits. In both cases two listings can look identical to us and be different products, and a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer. If a search turns out to be one of those, we say so instead of showing a comparison.

Amazon is a link on this website, never a price. Their affiliate terms let us show an Amazon price only from their own data service, which we do not use yet, so when Amazon sells what you searched for we link to it below the table, without a number, and it is never ranked.

Where the data comes from

Product feeds published by the shops themselves through their affiliate networks. We do not scrape shop websites for prices: feeds are more accurate, they are offered to us deliberately, and scraping European retailers raises database-right and terms-of-use questions we have no interest in testing.

Feeds refresh daily. Every price on this site carries the time we last saw it. We do not claim that prices are live, because they are not.

How products are matched

Where a shop publishes an EAN or GTIN, matching two listings to the same product is essentially exact. Where it does not, we fall back to brand and part number, and then to a conservative title comparison that refuses to merge listings that disagree about colour, generation, bundle contents or condition. We would rather show you four shops than show you five and be wrong about one.

The index is available as a free JSON API at /api/v1/products. Shopping agents and other tools are welcome to it.
